The Credit Guarantee and Investment Facility, a trust fund of the Asian Development Bank (“CGIF”) is pleased to announce the second CGIF-guaranteed bond in Cambodia. CGIF guaranteed 100% of PRASAC’s KHR 127.2 billion fixed rate 3-year bond. The first bond issuance of PRASAC marks the single largest capital raising in the history of Cambodia’s capital market.

CGIF signed on 10 January 2020 a Risk Participation Agreement (RPA) with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to share 50% of the default risk on ADB’s investment of THB 3 billion in 7-year Green Bonds issued by Energy Absolute Public Company Ltd on 16 October 2019.
